The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) notified ITR forms for AY 2026–27 on March 30, 2026. As of May 15, the Income Tax Department has enabled online filing for ITR-1 (Sahaj) and ITR-4 (Sugam). Utilities for ITR-2, ITR-3, and other forms are yet to be released. The filing deadline for individuals remains July 31, 2026.
